Boston, MA, February 24, 2016 – Boston law firm Sherin and Lodgen LLP has added David A. Michel as an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department, where he will represent clients in a variety of complex civil and commercial disputes. From 2011 – 2016, Michel was an attorney for the Public Defender Division of the Committee for Public Counsel Services, practicing out of the Worcester District Court Office. During that time, he provided legal representation to indigent defendants, from arraignment through trial in misdemeanor, probation violation, and felony cases.

After receiving his Bachelor of Arts from The George Washington University in 2006, Michel returned to his native state, Massachusetts, to pursue a career in law. He received his J.D. from Boston University School of Law in 2011, where he served as submissions editor for the Boston University Public Interest Law Journal and achieved honors in the Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Concentration.

“I am delighted to join Sherin and Lodgen,” said Michel. “The firm’s litigation attorneys have years of courtroom experience, and I am excited to apply my trial skills to assist a broad range of business and pro bono clients.”

Douglas M. Henry, Sherin and Lodgen’s Managing Partner, said, “Michel’s trial experience and public interest focus are an ideal match for our firm.  We welcome him to the firm.”
