Sherin and Lodgen partners, Jessica G. Kelly and Christopher R. Blazejewski, present at MBA CLE program on Complex Commercial Litigation
Jessica Gray Kelly and Christopher R. Blazejewski, partners in the firm’s Litigation Department, served as program chair and panelist, respectively, for the Massachusetts Bar Association’s (MBA) Continuing Legal Education (CLE) program, “Conflicts of Interest in Complex Commercial Litigation,” on May 14, 2019. The program provided insights on the Rules of Professional Conduct to help attorneys understand the identity of the client, the duties owed to the client and to third parties, and the issues that give rise to potential conflicts in the business litigation, intellectual property (IP) and bankruptcy contexts.
Jessica assists clients in a variety of industries with complex business litigation, including finance, biotech, and national retail. She represents lawyers and law firms in professional liability malpractice disputes and disciplinary investigations before the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers (BBO).
Chris focuses his practice on business disputes, legal malpractice, and complex commercial litigation. He assists large and mid-sized law firms and sole attorneys in client disputes, fee disputes, risk management, and professional ethics. Lawyers go to him for counseling on their own professional rights and obligations and for advice on resolving disputes.
The Massachusetts Bar Association is a non-profit organization that serves the legal profession and the public by promoting the administration of justice, legal education, professional excellence and respect for the law. A voluntary association, the MBA represents a diverse group of attorneys, judges and legal professionals across the commonwealth.
