Congratulations to our client, Boylston Properties, on breaking ground on new life sciences building at Arsenal Yards
Sherin and Lodgen congratulates our client, Boylston Properties, and its joint-venture equity partner, J.P. Morgan Asset Management, on breaking ground on a new nine-story, 165,600-square-foot life sciences lab and office building at Arsenal Yards. The construction, which began in January, is part of the redevelopment of the old Arsenal Mall in the east end of Watertown. The project is also being financed by a $100.1 million loan provided by Arkansas-based Bank OZK.
The building, to be known as 100 Forge, is part of a broader overhaul of the old mall into the Arsenal Yards mixed-use development — complete with over 50 curated retailers and restaurants, a Majestic 7 cinema, Roche Bros. grocer, 300 contemporary apartments, and a 146-room Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton. Boylston, which is leading the project, has attracted three other life-sciences companies to a previously refurbished building on the campus — two of which moved from smaller spaces in Kendall Square in Cambridge.
Sherin and Lodgen is representing Arsenal Yards in connection with development matters, condominium structuring, and retail, office, and lab leasing as well as project financing. The S&L team includes Peter Friedenberg, Gary D. Buchman, Paula G. Curry, Steven D. Eimert, Gary M. Markoff, and Joshua M. Bowman, partners in the firm’s Real Estate Department.
