Jack Anetakis appointed chair of the firm’s Commercial Finance Group
Sherin and Lodgen is pleased to announce that partner Jack Anetakis has been appointed chair of the firm’s Commercial Finance Group, effective March 10, 2021.
Sherin and Lodgen’s Managing Partner Douglas M. Henry said, “Since joining the firm last year, Jack, who has significant experience and expertise in real estate, corporate and renewable energy finance, has helped to greatly expand our commercial finance capabilities and has added a number of new banking and financial institutions to our client roster. His expertise and leadership have made him an asset to our clients and our firm. We look forward to him leading and further expanding our Commercial Finance Group.”
As partner in the firm’s Real Estate and Corporate departments, as well as its Renewable Energy Practice Group, Jack possesses particular expertise representing financial institutions and other lenders in commercial and industrial, asset-based, commercial real estate, affordable housing, and renewable energy loan and credit transactions. He has a specialty concentration in commercial and corporate financing transactions. Jack’s experience includes drafting and negotiating loan and credit documents, interest rate swap documentation, participation agreements, and intercreditor and subordination agreements. He is also skilled in assisting clients in structuring finance transactions and reviewing, analyzing, and advising clients regarding due diligence.
In addition to his background in both real estate and corporate finance, Jack has extensive experience representing lenders and developers in connection with renewable energy projects, including review and/or negotiation of site leases, power purchase arrangements, PILOT agreements, and forbearance agreements with tax credit investors. He is a member of the Northeast Clean Energy Council and the Real Estate Finance Association (REFA).
