Sherin and Lodgen sponsors Massachusetts Appleseed’s 14th Annual Good Apple Award Reception

Sherin and Lodgen sponsored Massachusetts Appleseed Center for Law and Justice’s 14^th Annual Good Apple Award Reception in celebration of Karen Morton, Executive Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer for Liberty Mutual Insurance and the recipient of the 2021 Good Apple Award. Attorneys Sara Jane Shanahan, Nancy S. Shilespky, and David A. Michel, who serves on the Massachusetts Appleseed Board of Directors, attended the virtual event on October 14, 2021.

The reception highlighted Karen’s commitment to advancing racial equity and uplifting Massachusetts’ most vulnerable youth. From her service on the Board of Directors of Bridge Over Troubled Waters, which works to transform the lives of youth experiencing homelessness, to her championship of diversity and inclusion, Karen represents the best of our legal community.

Enrique Colbert, General Counsel of Wayfair and recipient of the 2020 Good Apple Award, was also recognized on Thursday following the cancellation of last year’s event due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Massachusetts Appleseed is part of a non-profit network of 17 public interest justice centers in the United States and Mexico. The centers work both collectively and independently to build a society in which opportunities are genuine, access to the law is universal and equal, and government advances the public interest.
