David I. Brody and Gavriela M. Bogin-Farber presented at the Boston Bar Association (BBA) annual Employment Law Conference on November 18, 2021.  David, who also served on the conference Advisory Committee, moderated the panel, “Managing the Remote Workforce.” Gavi served on the panel, “Interplay of Employee Benefits and Leave Programs During COVID.”

The annual BBA Employment Law Conference covered pressing issues both outside and in-house employment law counsel need the latest guidance on.

A partner in Sherin’s award-winning Employment Department, David represents individuals in a wide range of matters, including contract negotiation and enforcement, wage and hour issues, wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, and whistleblowing. He is an experienced employment litigator, having represented individuals at trial in state and federal court, and in public hearings before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination and the Civil Service Commission. In addition to his litigation practice, David advises executives and professionals regarding employment agreements, non-competition, and other restrictive covenants, change of control agreements, equity and deferred compensation vehicles, and transition agreements. David also serves as co-chair of the BBA’s Labor & Employment Steering Committee.

Gavi is a senior associate and represents individuals in all aspects of employment negotiations and litigation, including discrimination, wage and hour disputes, retaliation, and wrongful termination. She has litigated cases before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination and in state and federal court. She also advises professionals and executives regarding separation agreements, employment agreements, and ongoing workplace issues. Gavi was elected President of the Massachusetts Employment Lawyers Association (MELA), an organization of over 160 attorneys committed to advancing employee rights.
