Sherin and Lodgen obtains favorable ruling on summary judgment in favor of a state prisoner under the Americans with Disabilities Act

Sherin and Lodgen successfully represented a state prisoner pro bono with regard to a suit to obtain services and treatment for her gender dysphoria and claustrophobia.

The S&L team, which is led by Sara Jane Shanahan and Daniel S. Guenther, recently obtained a favorable ruling on summary judgment in favor of a state prisoner under the Americans with Disabilities Act. The Department of Corrections has been ordered to transport the plaintiff in a manner that will allow her to access medical treatment and to provide her with appropriately fitting clothing.
