Sara Jane Shanahan and David A. Michel present at MCLE’s 23rd Annual Business Litigation Conference
Sherin and Lodgen attorneys Sara Jane Shanahan and David A. Michel presented at the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) in-person 23rd Annual Business Litigation Conference on February 9. As conference co-chair, Sara led the opening panel, “Year-in-Review: A Dialogue on the Top 10 Cases,” which discussed the latest updates on new business litigation developments and important case law, as well as moderated the “Federal Judicial Panel.” David presented on the panel, “New Federal Rules on Post-Employment Restrictions.”
As managing partner at the firm, Sara’s practice focuses on complex business litigation and insurance coverage disputes. She represents a diverse range of clients, including investment managers, property owners, national retailers, insurers, insureds, and shareholders of closely-held corporations. She is an active contributor to the legal and charitable communities and has held various leadership positions with the Boston Bar Association, including Council Member and co-chair of the Administration of Justice Section, and served on the Women’s Bar Association’s Women’s Leadership Initiative. Sara is also a regular speaker and contributor to MCLE programs.
A partner in the firm’s Litigation Department, David assists clients in resolving complex business, real estate, and employment disputes. His experience includes representing companies in a variety of complex civil and commercial disputes in federal and state court and through alternative dispute resolution. He also represents clients in employment matters involving restrictive covenants, discrimination, and wage and hour litigation.
The conference will rebroadcast on Monday, February 26 at 11:00 a.m. and Tuesday, March 5 at 9:00 a.m.
