July 29, 2024

Sherin and Lodgen LLP is pleased to announce the firm was selected as a recipient of Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly’s Empowering Women Award, which recognizes law firms that have shown a strong commitment to supporting and elevating women attorneys. Sherin and Lodgen is featured in the publication’s July 29th issue.

The firm was recognized for its ongoing work to support and advance women attorneys and professionals, both within and outside the firm, through its Women’s Initiative. This dedicated program provides an internal network of support that fosters growth and achievement, while connecting with and learning from outside organizations that directly support women and women’s causes. The Women’s Initiative provides a wide range of support and programming, from recruiting, retention, and elevation, to professional and business development, and civic advocacy activities.

Additionally, much of the work of the Women’s Initiative is done in collaboration with Sherin and Lodgen’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) Initiative, which encourages and celebrates the diverse perspectives, knowledge, and experiences of all attorneys and professionals, including women. In combination, the Women’s Initiative and DE&I Initiative have made significant strides in creating a welcoming, open, and inclusive work environment for all women and diverse members of the firm.

“Sherin’s Women’s Initiative helps ensure a positive and supportive environment for the firm’s women attorneys, with a focus on career development, business development, and community involvement. The program also bridges internal and external gender equity and advancement efforts, by highlighting connections between Sherin women attorneys and women-owned businesses, women clients, and women-led not-for-profit organizations. We will continue to work tirelessly towards the advancement of women.” said  co-chairs of the Women’s Initiative, in a joint statement.
