Congratulations to our client, GoVenture Capital Group, LLC, on the acquisition of twelve parcels of land in Worcester, Massachusetts

Sherin and Lodgen congratulates its client, GoVenture Capital Group, LLC, on the successful acquisition of twelve parcels of land near Franklin Street in Worcester in partnership with The Michaels Organization, a New Jersey based development firm, for $16.55 million.

The joint venture created by GoVenture Capital Group and The Michaels Organization acquired the land for the purpose of developing a five-story, 364-unit apartment building which will replace the industrial buildings currently at the site. The development’s features include solar-energy savings, an affordable housing component, and walking distance proximity to Worcester’s Union Station for tenants.

The S&L team was led by Partners Beth Goldstein (real estate and renewable energy) and Jonathan F. X. O’Brien (corporate and real estate), assisted by Partner Tanya Larrabee (renewable energy) and Associate Julia Royce (corporate).

The deal highlights Sherin’s ability to handle multifaceted transactions within one firm including the solar attributes of the project and GoVenture’s participation in the joint venture vehicle.
