Sherin and Lodgen’s Employment Law Department Recognized by Chambers USA
Sherin and Lodgen LLP announces that it was ranked for Labor & Employment: Mainly Plaintiffs Representation in the 2018 edition of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. Nancy S. Shilepsky and Brian J. MacDonough, partners in the firm’s Employment Law Department, were also recognized as notable practitioners in the rankings.
Chambers recognized the Department’s expertise in representing employees before both state and federal courts for discrimination, whistle-blowing, wage and hour issues and wrongful terminations. Clients describe the Department as very knowledgeable and highly skilled, and note that its attorneys “know the area extremely well and they are very responsive,” and, “are extremely focused on the client.”
Shilepsky, who also chairs the firm’s Employment Group, was ranked as a Star Individual in Labor & Employment: Mainly Plaintiffs Representation. A “Star” ranking is Chamber’s highest ranking and is given to lawyers with exceptional recommendations in their field. Nancy is the only Massachusetts attorney in this practice area to receive a “Star” ranking. A leading figure in the Massachusetts employment law market, Shilepsky is recognized for her counsel to high-level professionals on compensation and other challenging employment issues. Clients describe her as, “a very strong advocate who is careful and always well prepared,” and one who “listens to clients and maintains a very good relationship.”
MacDonough was ranked for the first time in Band 2 for Labor & Employment: Mainly Plaintiffs Representation. He is described as having a calm demeanor; one who is “empathetic and very strategic in negotiations,” while advising individuals on employment agreements, restrictive covenants, discrimination and wrongful termination claims.
Chambers conducts an extensive, independent review of attorney and law firms based on interviews with clients and other lawyers in the field. For more information on the rankings, please click here.
