Nancy S. Shilepsky named Chair of MBA Labor & Employment Section Council

Nancy S. Shilepsky has been named Chair of the Massachusetts Bar Association’s (MBA) Labor & Employment Section Council for the 2018-19 year. Her term began September 1.

Shilepsky said, “I am honored to serve as Chair of the MBA’s Labor & Employment Section Council, and I look forward to working with my MBA Section Council colleagues to provide a forum for all segments of the labor and employment bar in Massachusetts.”

Shilepsky is a leading influence in the world of executive advocacy, employment law and employment litigation, and is Chair of Sherin and Lodgen’s Employment Department. She is a champion of the interests of individuals and a trusted counselor to executives and professionals across a wide range of industries. Shilepsky is recognized for her counsel to high-level professionals on compensation and other challenging employment issues.

A longtime member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, where she also serves as a Member of the House of Delegates, Shilepsky is active in the legal community at large. She recently completed a three-year Presidential appointment as a Member of the American Bar Association Standing Committee on Continuing Legal Education. Shilepsky also served as Treasurer and Executive Committee Member of the Boston Bar Association. In 2007, she was appointed by Governor Deval Patrick to the Advisory Board of the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD), and she is a former Chair of the Employment Law Curriculum Advisory Committee for Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education.   Additionally, Shilepsky co-founded and serves as Co-Coordinator of “The Amicus Group,” a consortium of community groups and civil rights organizations whose goal is to ensure racial and social justice and the eradication of discrimination in the Commonwealth.
