Ariana L. Mirzakashani and Wyatt Shea published in Banker & Tradesman for article on recent tariffs

Ariana L. Mirzakashani, Real Estate associate, and Wyatt Shea, Real Estate paralegal, were published in Banker & Tradesman on April 21. Their article, titled “Import Tariffs and Force Majeure: Does Your Contract Forsee the Unforeseeable?” predicts the effect that the Trump administration’s recent tariff decisions may have on “deals that have already been signed and negotiated.”

From the article: 

“Although recent tariff impositions have renewed focus on whether a force majeure provision covers market cost increases, courts have previously declined to grant relief to burdened parties under similar scenarios.”
