David I. Brody elected co-chair of BBA’s Labor and Employment Section Steering Committee
David I. Brody has been elected to serve as co-chair of the Boston Bar Association’s (BBA) Labor and Employment Section Steering Committee for the 2021-2022 term.
David is a partner in the firm’s Employment and Litigation departments. He represents individuals in a wide range of matters, including wage and hour issues, wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, whistleblowing, and contract negotiation and enforcement. David has represented clients in both federal and state courts in Massachusetts and in Public Hearings before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD) and the Civil Service Commission. Since 2018, David has been a significant member of the BBA’s Labor and Employment Steering Committee.
The BBA’s mission is to advance the highest standards of excellence for the legal profession, facilitate access to justice, foster a diverse and inclusive professional community and serve the community at large. The Labor & Employment Law Section is meant for practitioners to share and expand their expertise in the areas of labor and employment, labor-management relations, and employment discrimination. The Section also focuses on practices and procedures before state and federal agencies relating to labor in all cases arising from an employer-employee relationship. The Steering Committee plays a leading role in planning the activities of the Labor and Employment Section and developing the Section’s policy initiatives.
