Edward M. Bloom, partner in the firm’s Real Estate Department, to speak at MCLE New England’s “Negotiating & Drafting Office & Retail Leases,” program on May 24th from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at MCLE New England, 10 Winter Place, Boston, MA.

Program Description:

Office and retail leases are among the most common forms of commercial lease transactions and both require a broad knowledge of basic lease law. Although there is substantial overlap between them in the issues to raise and resolve, there are also many crucial differences. The experienced panelists examine and compare office and retail leasing transactions, and identify their key similarities, as well as important differences. The faculty also analyze how in recent years, retail leasing has been affected by the Internet and e-commerce, and office leasing has been influenced by the demands and desires of Millennials in the work force. This program is essential to those developing a leasing practice, as well as to more experienced practitioners seeking to refresh their memory and sharpen their office and retail lease negotiating skills.
