Ian T. Lane published in New England Real Estate Journal on debunking CMBS loan myths

Ian T. Lane, partner in the firm’s Real Estate Department, was published in the New England Real Estate Journal (NEREJ) on February 23, 2024. His article, “Debunking CMBS loan myths: A secure source of commercial real estate lending,” disproves some of the more common myths surrounding commercial mortgage backed security (CMBS) loans.

Some of the myths debunked in Ian’s article include CMBS loans being more expensive for borrowers than other types of loans, CMBS lenders not having long-lasting relationships with borrowers, that CMBS loans lack flexibility, and that the CMBS loan industry will not survive.
