Joshua M. Bowman Serves on Boston University’s 2025 Hospitality Real Estate Symposium Planning Committee

Partner and Hospitality Practice Group Chair Joshua M. Bowman served on the planning committee for Boston University’s (BU) 2025 Hospitality Real Estate Symposium held on April 2. The symposium, hosted by the BU School of Hospitality Administration and sponsored in part by Sherin and Lodgen, gathered industry experts and students to explore the future of hospitality and commercial real estate, and delved into trends, strategies, and technologies shaping the next era of investments, development, and redevelopment.

As a member of the BU School of Hospitality’s Hospitality Real Estate Advisory Board, Josh was joined at the symposium by Carla M. Moynihan, Partner and Chair of the firm’s Real Estate Department and BU School of Law alumna.

Josh is a partner in the firm’s Real Estate and Corporate departments and is chair of the firm’s Hospitality Practice Group. He brings years of experience counseling local and national real estate owners and developers, institutional and non-institutional lenders, investors, tenants, contractors, and other businesses in connection with a wide variety of transactions and situations. He has substantial experience dealing with complicated issues related to commercial real estate ownership, development, finance, joint venture arrangements, acquisitions and sales, leasing, land use, licensing, management and franchise agreements, construction agreements, and food and beverage agreements. As the Chair of the firm’s Hospitality Practice Group, Josh has a particular concentration in representing owners and operators of restaurants and hotels.

In January of 2017, Josh joined the faculty at the BU School of Hospitality Administration, where he teaches two courses: The Fundamentals of a Hotel Real Estate Deal and Hospitality Law.
