February 26, 2025

Partner Brian J. MacDonough was named a 2025 “Go To Lawyer: Employment” by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. For the second time, he was selected among top employment lawyers across the Commonwealth who demonstrate significant leadership in the field with a record of success, and to whom other lawyers make referrals for their expertise and accomplishments. Brian and fellow honorees are featured in the publication’s February 24 issue.

As chair of the Employment Department, Brian handles a wide range of complex employment matters, advising executives and professionals regarding terms of employment, equity and deferred compensation, non-competition and other restrictive covenants, and terms of separation and transition. He has particular expertise in cross-border matters and is a trusted advisor to his global executive clients.

In addition to his executive advocacy practice, Brian also litigates cases in both federal and state courts and appears regularly before state and federal agencies, including the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination and U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. He is a former co-chair of the Boston Bar Association’s Labor & Employment Law Section.

Go To Lawyers are nominated by their peers and chosen by a panel from Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. Honorees are selected for demonstrating in-depth knowledge in their field and extensive experience with a record of success, according to the publication.
