Scott McConchie appointed to the Clients’ Security Board of Massachusetts
Scott McConchie, partner in the firm’s Litigation Department, was recently appointed to the Clients’ Security Board (CSB) of Massachusetts by the Justices of the Supreme Judicial Court (SJC). Scott’s 5-year term began on December 2, 2024.
The CSB was established by the SJC in 1974 as an independent administrative body to preserve the public’s trust in the legal profession by reimbursing clients whose lawyers have stolen their funds. The SJC appoints seven Massachusetts lawyers to act as public trustees for the CSB, reviewing claims, making awards, and distributing funds (which come from Massachusetts lawyers through their annual registration fees).
