Sherin and Lodgen supports The Real Ride
Sherin and Lodgen is pleased to support local charities through our “Jeans for Charity” initiative. All funds raised in March will support The Real Ride.
The Real Ride is a coast to coast 5,000 mile bike ride that celebrates the challenge of the road less traveled. Starting in Seattle and ending in Boston, the riders will take an unconventional route across the country – taking dirt roads, trails, and wooded paths and doing their best to avoid pavement.
The ride will support Boston Day and Evening Academy, an alternative public charter high school located in Roxbury. BDEA was created to re-engage off track students who are overage for high school, had trouble with attendance issues, had been held back or who dropped out but are eager to come back to school to earn their diploma. Almost all of BDEA’s students are trying to learn in an ecosystem of poverty, food and housing insecurity, mental and physical health concerns, violence, and other traumas.
