Thomas F. Maffei presented at the New England Corporate Counsel Association’s (NECCA) May 2023 Seminar, “Ethics Issues for In-House Counsel,” on May 3. Tom and his fellow panelists addressed emerging issues facing in-house counsel and provided practical advice to them.

Tom advises law firms and lawyers on ethics, bar discipline matters, and professional liability and has testified as an expert on such issues.  He is also an experienced mediator. Tom is a Fellow of the American College of Trial lawyers, a past president of the Massachusetts Bar Association, and a former member of the Board of Bar Overseers. He is listed in Top 100 New England Super Lawyers and The Best Lawyers in America list. He teaches Professional Responsibility at Boston College Law School.

NECCA, a Massachusetts non-profit corporation, is a membership association of in-house/corporate counsel primarily from Massachusetts and other New England states. NECCA meets monthly from September through June for a seminar on legal issues and topics of common interest, and for members to share resources and network.
